Executive Officer SECADA
Darrell has worked in the alcohol and drug sector for over 27 years. He began his career as the Program Coordinator of a residential facility for chronically dependent individuals – one of two such facilities in New Zealand in 1995.
After becoming a registered social worker in 2000 and working in several alcohol and drug-related roles, Darrell and his wife moved their young family to Australia in 2002, where he was appointed to the role of Executive Officer the Eastern Drug and Alcohol Service lead by EACH Social and Community Health. In 2008, he graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Business (HRM) before heading up the EACH Registered Training Unit and Social Enterprise services.
In 2011, he joined The Salvation Army as the Network Director of alcohol and drug services.
In 2016, Darrell joined the South Eastern Consortium of Alcohol and Drug Agencies (SECADA) as Executive Officer.
