Our plan for the future

Windana 2030: Our Plan for Impact presents a new pathway towards our vision of thriving people and communities, living stigma-free, with access to health and support services for all.

It sets out the impact we want to have, what we are doing to achieve it and the pathways we’ll follow to do things differently and achieve better outcomes for the people we work with.

Pathways for Change

Windana’s Pathways for Change model outlines how and why change occurs when people access services at Windana, as well as our influence on the external systems and structures we work in.

It captures the nature of recovery – namely, that every journey is unique, charts its own course and has its own destination. The model recognises general, specialised and self-determined client pathways, as well as a Systems Change Pathway.

Our four Impact Areas

Our Plan for Impact presents four Impact Areas that set out the pathways we’ll follow to do things differently and achieve better outcomes for the people we work with.

Impact Area 1: We make a positive difference in people’s lives. Impact Area 2: We play our part in creating fairer systems and safer communities.
Impact Area 3: We are a learning organisation. Impact Area 4: Our organisation is sustainable and ready for the future.

Providing more tailored pathways

We will continue doing what we know works for the general population, while recognising that some people and communities face different barriers to access and require more tailored support. Our priority groups are:

First Nations people People involved with the justice system
Women LGBTQIA+ communities
Young people Culturally & linguistically diverse communities

We are looking forward to sharing our impact over the next four years and working together with our partners – current and new – to work towards a brighter, more equitable world.
