Alma Road community services update
Windana has been part of countless life-changing moments for over 40 years. Our Alma Road site, Windana’s first location established in 1984, has been a physical representation of safety and change for many.
The time has come for us to farewell this historic property so we can continue to deliver meaningful and lasting change with clients in locations that are fit-for-purpose, trauma informed and reflective of the quality of services we seek to provide.
What this means for clients
Our final day of service delivery at 88 Alma Road will be this Friday 18 September 2026.
There will be no interruption to service delivery – community groups and AOD counselling currently delivered at 88 Alma Road will relocate to Alma Road Community House at 200 Alma Road, St Kilda East, from Monday 21 September. This new site is only 1.5km away from our current building (and only 400m away from our new Wattle Grove adult withdrawal site) and is fully wheelchair accessible.

While the location may be changing, the people, services and support will continue as usual. If you have any questions about this relocation, get in touch with us at or give us a call on 9529 7955.
While we will soon say goodbye to this historic location, we’re excited to carry on the culture of innovation and client centred, trauma informed service delivery that started within those walls 40 years ago.
