What is ADLOW?

Our Alcohol and Drug Liaison Outreach Work (ADLOW) program helps people address substance misuse through brief interventions and short term case management while connecting them with longer-term appropriate services, such as counselling, care and recovery, detox, rehab, or group supports so they can start their path of recovery. 

The ADLOW program is free.

How can ADLOWs help me?

Once we receive a referral from your health professional (for example, hospitals, mental health, NDIS, midwives, or maternal and child health) our ADLOW specialists will get in touch within 48 hours.

We’ll help you through a comprehensive assessment to understand your needs, and work with you to develop an individual treatment plan that meets your goals, and work with you to help you get ready for treatment.

Until you’re connected with longer-term support, you’ll be able to rely on an ADLOW for alcohol and other drug referrals, planning, and service system naviagation, and to link you in with services including health, mental health, housing and more.

Eligibility

The ADLOW program supports people aged 16 and above at different stages of their journey with alcohol and other drugs.

When we get in touch, we’ll talk to you about whether the program is right for you, and refer you to other suitable alternatives if it isn’t.

ADLOWs operate across the local government areas of Port Phillip, Stonnington, Glen Eira, Bayside, Kingston, Frankston, Mornington Peninsula, Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia.
