Windana’s New CEO – Kent Burgess

Robyn Batten AM, Windana Board Chair today announced that Kent Burgess has been appointed as the new CEO of Windana, joining the organisation on Tuesday 6 May 2025.

 

“The Windana Board and I are thrilled to have Kent join the Windana team in this critical leadership role,” Robyn said. “Kent brings over 15 years of senior leadership experience withing in the community health, alcohol and drug, mental health, HIV and LGBTIQ+ health sectors.”

 

Kent joins Windana after four years as CEO of Your Community Health. Prior to this, Kent held Executive Management roles at Better Health Network and Thorne Harbour Health. Kent is also a current member of the Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association (VAADA) Board.

 

“Throughout his career, Kent has demonstrated a practical, collaborative approach and capacity to develop effective relationships at all levels. This underpins his vision to provide leadership in community health that delivers quality, accountable services of excellence in partnership with target communities.”

 

“We look forward to working with Kent as he brings his leadership and vision to the next exciting period in Windana’s history as we continue to provide connected services to more people in need,” Robyn said.

 

Reflecting on his new role, Kent said he is “incredibly grateful and excited to be joining Windana as the CEO. Windana is an organisation that I have known and admired throughout my career.”

 

“Windana is an organisation at the beating heart of treatment and support systems for so many people who need support to get their lives on track. I look forward to bringing my experience and leadership to continue to build on the amazing work that Windana delivers to people across Victoria experiencing alcohol and other drug, mental health and other complex issues.”

 

“I am passionate about supporting those who need it the most and helping to address the inequities and barriers that they too often face in health and support systems. I look forward to meeting all of the partner organisations and people who work with Windana to help achieve great outcomes for the people we work with.”

 

Di Nally will continue as Windana’s Acting CEO until Tuesday 6 May 2025.
