Welcoming New Board Members
Windana is pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to the Windana Board of Directors: Dr Shaymaa Elkadi, Derek Madden, Serge Sardo and Cathy Whelan.
“We are delighted to have four new Directors bring their significant leadership, experience and vision to help Windana to provide connected services to more people in need,” Robyn Batten AM, Windana Board Chair, said.
“The Board and I have worked to ensure we have a wide range of expertise to draw on as we help guide Windana to achieve its mission of helping more people in need. Shaymaa, Derek, Serge and Cathy have deep and diverse experience across health, mental health, the community sector and local government. Their leadership will be invaluable as we deliver on our Strategic Plan and work towards the development of a new one in 2026.”
The arrival of the new Board members coincides with the departure of Minh Nguyen. Joining Windana as part of the merger with TaskForce Community Agency in 2023, we thank Minh for her strategic insights and forward thinking that supported the successful outcome of that process.
Kent Burgess, Windana CEO, said:
“I look forward to welcoming our new Board members and working alongside them to achieve our mission, and ensure Windana’s ongoing success.”
Dr Shaymaa Elkadi, Derek Madden, Serge Sardo and Cathy Whelan formally joined Windana’s Board on 4 August.
