Getting referred to Windana.
To get referred to drug and alcohol treatment services in Victoria’s public system, your first step is to get an Assessment.
This is where you talk with a trained person (on the phone or in person) about your needs and goals. They will then tell you about suitable services available and refer you to the service/s you wish to go to.
You can start the Assessment process in two ways:
- Contact DirectLine – Victoria’s central hub for referrals
PH: 1800 888 236 (available 24/7) or visit www.directline.org.au.
- Contact your local Intake and Assessment service
See this list of Intake and Assessment services and find the service that looks after the area where you live or stay.
During your Assessment, you are welcome to say you are interested in coming to Windana.
For more information, you can also call Windana Monday to Friday, 9:00am-4:30pm on 03 9529 7955.
If you’re referred to us and are coming to our program, we will be in touch to make sure you have everything you need.
