About the program

The Family Reunification Program helps reunite families through supporting parents to address their alcohol and other drug misuse, as well as other needs including mental health and family violence.

We work with parents who:

  • have become involved in the Child Protection system,
  • have children living in out-of-home care, and
  • are required to complete alcohol and other drug treatment as part of a Family Reunification or Interim Accommodation court order.

How we help families

We work with each family who is referred to the program to identify your specific needs and goals, and work towards addressing these to reconnect parents with their children.

We work with parents to address the many complexities in your lives, including your AOD use, mental health, and family violence and safety planning.

We deliver counselling to work towards your AOD goals, as well as case management to support to ensure you’re connected to any other supports you might need.

We can meet you in our offices, or meet you in a space that’s comfortable for you, and support you at important appointments.

Our program supports parents who are on Family Reunification Orders or Interim Accommodation orders in the Bayside (cities of Port Phillip, Stonnington, Glen Eira, Bayside and Kingston) and Frankston-Mornington Peninsula regions.
