  • Referral: Directly at or on 03 9532 0811, or through GP or other support service

About the program

Our youth outreach workers can help young people aged 12 – 25 with any concerns you might have about your alcohol or drug use. We offer confidential, non-judgmental counselling, referral, advocacy and more to help you meet your goals, operating in a harm reduction framework.

Our workers can come to wherever is most comfortable for you – in your home, in a cafe or other public space, in our purpose-built Youth Hub or wherever else works for you. 

How can a youth outreach worker help you?

Our workers can:

  • Assessing your needs around alcohol and other drug, mental health, and any other issues and make a support plan with you
  • Deliver counselling sessions
  • Provide information and education around alcohol and drug use, treatment and recovery
  • Provide referrals to other services and help get you connected to these
  • Help you organise and attend appointments, access Centrelink, or help with other practical needs
  • Advocate for you with other services, education, justice or health systems
  • Provide family support

Eligibility

Youth outreach works with young people aged 12 – 25 who live, work or study in the Cities of:

  • Port Phillip
  • Stonnington
  • Glen Eira
  • Bayside
  • Kingston
  • Frankston
  • Greater Dandenong
  • Monash

Referral
